Joost Vandebrug (26) studied VAV (previously Audio Visual) at the Amsterdam Academy

of arts Gerrit Rietveld and trained with photographer and filmmaker Erwin Olaf.

His contribution to magazines and projects are highly influenced by music and it’s

effect on high end fashion. The work reflect these influences by using models with

the needed level of authenticity and artists that relate to the sensitive vision of

Joost.

Joost uses different techniques of lighting and the suitable choice of camera to

translate the emotion and situation in order to accomplish his storytelling way of

photography. Joost is based in London and Amsterdam, exhibited personal work in Foam

(photography museum of Amsterdam) and will continue to work on personal projects to

maintain his strong signature.
